1)‍ ‍What is it?

People always want to know what my artwork is made of. They guess an amazing array of materials! My hand crafted sculptural bowls, vases and vessels are made from turned wood that is carved and painted.

2)‍ ‍What products do you offer?

I create colorful turned wooden bowls, vases and vessels topped with finials. My fine craft woodworking is known for the sculptural approach to a vessel combined with the subtle application of layers of paint.

3) What makes your woodworking unique?

I treat my turned wooden forms as a blank three dimensional canvas. The smooth surface of the turned wood is transformed as I carve patterns and textures inspired by nature. Application of controlled heat - pyrography - adds subtleties to my unique surfaces. Layers of carefully applied paint accentuate my patterns and textures, resulting in one-of-a-kind sculptural vessels that have the warmth and tactile qualities of wood, with the added visual power of a painting.
